According to our sources, Team Vitality is scanning the market to improve its roster. It is Kevin "misutaaa" Rabier who is on the hot seat if changes are made.
At the beginning of the year, Team Vitality started a new project turned towards the international scene with the departures of Richard "shox" Papillon, Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van and coach Remy "XTQZZ" Quoniam. To replace them, a trio of Danes who have written the history of the game was chosen, Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif and Danny "zonic" Sørensen as coach.
After an interesting start in the groups of BLAST Spring, the situation quickly became complicated for Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's troops, the team failing early at the IEM Katowice and the ESL Pro League. Even worse, Vitality narrowly escaped elimination in the European RMR and failed to qualify for the PGL Major Antwerp playoffs.
The end of the season remained disappointing with a failure at the IEM Dallas and IEM Cologne, with a breakthrough at the BLAST Spring finals. To sum up, the first six months of this international roster are disappointing with only the BLAST tournament for satisfaction. Vitality is still in the world's top tier, but seems light years away from the likes of FaZe and NAVI.
Many difficulties have been publicly mentioned by players and staff, with communication and differences in game vision being at the heart of the team's problems. If we suspected that it would take time for the Franco-Danish team to build itself, it seems that this harmony in the game is very difficult to find despite the great experience of some players.
According to our sources, Vitality is now evaluating its possibilities on the transfer market. If nothing is completely decided at the moment, the organization is looking for a rifle that would potentially replace Kevin "misutaaa" Rabier.
Lotan "Spinx" Giladi is the first name on the shortlist of the French organization, but his transfer will not be easy, that's why Vitality is studying other possibilities for this position. The Isralian is currently one of the best performing players at the top level, displaying an impressive 1.17 HLTV rating on lan, helping ENCE to reach a top 3 spot in the HTLV ranking. More informations will follow in the next weeks.
